Bluewater Algarve Regatta! Hi everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the strange weather that we are experiencing all over Europe. We have a good offshore breeze everyday between 10-20 knots lets hope its the same for the regatta, 38 days to go We have altered the social program this year to accommodate people with work and travel commitments, we are seeing more boats from further afield and the changes will hopefully make for a better event for all of us. Friday 12th - Finish racing and straight to the Heineken lounge for refreshments and a few nibbles. Saturday 13th - 8pm till late at Duna Beach club, BBQ and buffet and live music. Sunday 14th - Finish racing Heineken lounge open, presentation and prize giving as soon as the results are complete. Bar closes at 10 maybe. On the Friday and Sunday nights for those that really want to let their hair down their will be live music at The Lighthouse from 10pm (first floor the marina building). The format for the racing will be slightly different, we will have 3 classes this year, Cruising class (open) Racing Class and Sports Boats, We will use the ORC handicap system, Handicaps can be obtained on line or we will allocate on the day.
