Singapore Sailing - 31 de Janeiro de 2018
At 4pm today, a strong gust of wind together with a water spout came through National Sailing Centre and left a trail of damages.
Thankfully no one was hurt during the storm. Our roof and a number of laser boats were damaged.
As per our safety procedures, our Cat 1 siren was sounded, and all sailors were recalled. All sailors and staff were accounted for, and took shelter in the auditorium until the storm passed.
A good reminder for why we need to respect mother nature, to stay under shelter during a storm or when the siren is sounded, and to always return our boats to the racks after sailing.
